Housewives aka Home makers
If everyone wants to work inside the building then who will build the building? Housewives are alarmingly becoming fewer in number thanks to IT jobs. This drift may continue in future as we face a very competitive ambiance. This article is dedicated to all current Home makers and future house wives ……
First and foremost the boundary line cannot be drawn for a House wife saying these are the duties they are responsible for. Activities like gardening, commemorating small functions like chitra pournami, spending more time with the kids, organizing social activities which play an imperative role in maintaining the bonding between nearest and dearest ones. etc., are all part of their regular life. These are apart from the copious tasks they do on a daily basis.
One thing in favor of the house wives is ‘Time’. If this is utilized in an efficient manner then they are right on track. They have all the time in the world to do lot of activities which their counterparts can only do on weekends. Home makers have the luxury to cherish small things. They can in fact sense how fast the nails grow for their kids on a daily basis, make a garland and offer to deity on a daily basis, enjoy talking to family back home on daily basis etc.,
Now the most crucial factor – “Financial needs” the reason why most of the girls want to work apart from being independent and to keep themselves busy. Though this is a debatable topic I have tried to be as realistic as possible by quoting incidents such as (1) Buying a property in suburb versus buying in a main locality (2) Driving Odyssey/Sienna instead of MDX/RX (3) Watching Rajini movie on 2nd week instead of first weekend
House wives may not have fancy titles to their name, may not see rush hour traffic, may not deal with conference calls but act as a fulcrum in which the whole family relies on. To all the husbands – your Wife/Mom/Sister may be a Doctor, Engineer or a Lawyer but feel proud that they are “House wife” as it is a ‘Blessing’.
